Lori Beth is the owner of Talk Tx (Therapy), LLC. She has been a licensed, practicing Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) for over 15 years and has experience treating individuals across the lifespan.
At a young age, with her parents volunteering with Special Olympics, Lori had an intriguing interest in helping neuorodivergent individuals as she found herself comfortable around individuals with disabilities. She also sparked an increasing curiosity in the field in the field after a family member received treatment from a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) following a diagnosis of a fluency disorder.
Lori Beth received her undergraduate degree from James Madison University in Communication Sciences & Disorders and a Master’s degree from Longwood University. She has worked in a variety of settings including subacute rehabilitation, long term care facilities, home health, and school settings. She has treated and has experience with Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI), cognitive-linguistic impairment, motor speech disorders, dysphagia (swallowing), Autism, Fluency disorders (Stuttering), voice, expressive/receptive language impairments and AAC (Augmentative & Alternative Communication. She has also mentored and provided supervision for numerous clinical fellows.
When not providing speech therapy services, Lori enjoys decorating, gardening, traveling, socializing with friends and being the biggest cheerleader at her son’s sporting events.
